Osprey Taking a Fish from our Pond

This was awesome. 

I heard Mike yelling for me from the back yard.

I got there just in time to see this. It's an Osprey circling over the pond. I caught him just as he was about to dive.

Boom!

He looks like he is struggling...

(Stupid duck!)

 

But no, he pulls out and flies away with a fish.

He lands way up high in a pine tree and starts eating.

It was overcast and my camera was zoomed fully. 

But I got some shaky video anyway.

We see hawks quite regularly. This is only the second time I've seen Osprey out here.

Just last week we had an American Kestrel hanging out.

And then there's Jumper!
