Watercolor Paints

My latest obsession is watercolor paints. I'm learning with some simple tutorials from a few folks online. Here are a few of my best.

And then I wanted to go off grid and do what I  thought I could. Hence this series: Creatures!

Home Improvements 2021

Looks like this is the year for some Major projects. Lots of sweat and cussing.

The urge to reuse and make something cool.
Pelican Mailbox

A much needed and very expensive home improvement. We had a new well drilled.

Next we added loads of dirt to fill up the wallow spots in the front.

Yup, and brand new shell for the driveway to bring it up above the flooding level.

Also, we brought in some crushed shell for a new driveway pad.

Mike added to the rock barrier to define it better. Nice!

Now I'm back to cement lily pads. That fresh new dirt was excellent for making the molds.

Here they are filled.

And then we popped them out of their molds. Next is to clean them up and add a bright coat of paint.
We also did stepping stones and toadstools, too.

Mike did some tile work. This is the step right outside the kitchen.

And also the front entryway.

Here's the lily pads all painted and set up.

Stepping Stones.

Toadstools.

Loads and loads of mulch all around the house. We re-did all the beds.

And one last thing: We had gutters installed around the front and side.

Well needed!
Well done!

Big Cypress National Preserve

Big Cypress National Preserve
A two day camping trip. It was cold as hell overnight so the camper van was a life saver. We stayed at the Monument Lake campground and drove the loops in the preserve.

In no particular order....photos of our trip.
