Summer Time

We're at the peak of summer and everything is in full bloom. I've had some really good luck with most of my plants this year, but there's still a few things not working for me. We have added a few new areas for plants and I have this one stubborn spot where I just can't get anything to grow. That's why I have a brown thumb!

Enjoy this mish-mash of plants and flowers.

Debbie's Wallpapers

I find myself often wandering around the yard looking for something interesting to take a snapshot of. It's led me to a new project... Wallpapers. You can right click on a photo, save it, and then set it as your desktop wallpaper if you like. Enjoy!

Dragonflies

Now that the rainy season has set in and the ponds are filling up, the dragonflies have taken over. We get the most amazing color and varieties. We got your bright red, pink, blue, yellow, orange, and green. We even have spotted and striped ones. Here's a sampling of my collection.

Crested Caracara

This is a Crested Caracara. I don't see these too often on my property. This guy came in with a group of vultures.

This is a very cool looking bird!

I love the colors on his beak.

And this is an American Swallow-tailed Kite. For some reason he and his buddies have been flying low over the house lately.

I am here to tell you that it is very hard to get a good picture of one of these. I have never seen one land.

And just to round the post out, I offer you a few pictures of my flowering cactus.

That's about all I have today.
